Bajaj Launching Upgraded Pulsar 220 DTSi

Bajaj is ready to bring its new and upgraded Pulsar 220 DTSi model in India. The new model will come without the fuel injection technology which means that the new model will be priced extremely competitively in the market. The flag ship model of the company is expected to be priced at Rs. 70,000 ex-showroom Delhi and will be pitted against the new Apache 180 RTR and Yamaha FZ16.

Although the fuel injection technology is absent in the new model, nevertheless it is capable of producing more power at 21PS. It gets a mean and aggressive look from its all-black treatment. Moreover, the company has also worked on the gearing of the motorcycle which will help the new 220 to reach the top speed of more than 140kmph.

Bajaj Auto is targeting one-third of the market to strengthen its leadership position in this segment. Bajaj Auto will also start exports to some international markets, including Sri Lanka, Colombia and Indonesia.

Bajaj Bikes Runs On The Road of Africa and Europe

Bajaj Auto is researching markets in Africa and Europe for its motorcycles, particularly the Boxer, CT100 and the Pulsar. The company, which exported more than 6 lakh motorcycles, is seeing rising sales of the low cost Boxer and CT100, company officials said. Bajaj is taking a step ahead in registering the Pulsar brand name in countries before it begins marketing the motorcycle.

The management going to register their bikes to sell in Africa and Europe under their own name. Like in Iran the brand name of this vehicle is Pulse and in Philippines they are supposed to call it as Rouser. What a great brand names?

Bajaj Auto has recently established new models of the Pulsar 150 and 180, and is building up production of Pulsar bikes to 50,000 units a month. It will also launch the fastest model of Pulsar this month. So, I think Bajaj Management and family now touches to the sky in coming days.

Once again Kawasaki-Bajaj

Just more than 25 years back Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries introduced a high-powered motorcycle in the Indian market with the help of its Indian partner and long-time collaborator, Bajaj Auto.

We have seen that Bajaj and Kawasaki had built up various motorcycles during their coalition of just about two decades. In fact, Kawasaki never set in motion a product under its own brand name without share-out it with Bajaj.

The bond of Kawasaki – Bajaj will see the launch of, maybe, the 250cc Ninja model of Kawasaki. The model will be made at Bajaj’s Chakan facility near Pune. This will help the company save on the high duties imposed on imported bikes.

The 250cc, 30 bhp bike will be imported as completely knocked down kits from Kawasaki’s Thailand plant. This model will be set up before the end of the year.

Masanobu Kawaguchi, Manager (Sales and Operation Control, Asia Division), said that they are still developing to launch the Kawasaki model (most probably the 250cc model) will be in this year.

It is nice to see here that, now Indians can recall their memories what they had experienced while launch of Bajaj-Kawasaki 4S Two Wheeler segment. I have seen that 4S motorcycles running on the road to impose the sweet memories of Kawasaki-Bajaj alliance.

Sports Roadster, Ninja ZX-6R, Z1000 and Vulcan Cruiser are the few names of next generation high-performance bikes of the Kawasaki-Bajaj collaboration. The important thing is, before buying any vehicle modern customer immensely thinks on the availability of its spare part. For above variants, Kawasaki will provide the necessary training and parts back-up to the regional dealers. Such bikes cost around Rs. 1 Lakh.

These bikes can be available for customers at Bajaj’s Probiking showrooms and after some days one can get it from Bajaj’s other dealerships.

Again, Bajaj and Kawasaki organizations come together to develop the miracle in the segment of 2 Wheelers and they are working on technology and design development of such vehicles.

Now, Bajaj has been facing barky upwind in the domestic market. It quite happened worldwide that everybody under the pressure and impact of today’s recession. I am sure, after some days Bajaj proved his words “Naye Bahart Ki, Nayi Manzil ….. HAMARA BAJAJ!”. And I am waiting for the day that explains the true meaning of this advertisement that deeply imposed in everybody’s heart and mind. Yeah! It was the past that, I was also the part of Bajaj family and visiting Bajaj factory to represents my organization at Waluj, Aurangabad frequently to get solved customer complaints. Still I have kept Bajaj’s remembrance – A Chetak Scooter - for that I called it “LAXMI – the goddess of wealth!”
